Hi, I was looking for the same information and found on Ninja site in FAQ, answer to question "Is it safe to be used around birds?", answer is "Yes, the unit utilizes a nano-ceramic coating that is PFOA-free and PFTE-free". And that is the only place they advertised it. I find it strange.
