• I will stop blending but it also depends how much frozen items you have in there you will have to press the button some more to get it in the smoothie texture

• I don't think it will stop automatically, because it runs so rapidly that in less that 20 seconds you can have puree right away. Like me, I've been shaving ice with this unit so fast.
