Yes they have instituted a few additional protections For one you will have to validate a code they send to your e-mail address or phone while you go through the checkout process and two you can only pickup at a Best Buy location near you. With these two new features I was able to purchase one while I was not able to purchase the 3080 or 3070 so I am going to go ahead and say it worked.
