Best Buy needs to start taking pre-orders so atleast we know we're going to get one at some point and that would also eliminate scalpers. You don't have to be rocket scientist to figure this out Best Buy.

Bots can also easily solve most captchas, bots such as these can also mimic human input to solve many timed captchas. These bots also use VPNs and similar to avoid being seen coming from the same IP. The only thing Best Buy needs to do to mostly solve the bot problem is to make it to where they have to pick up the card locally (it can't be delivered to their home), and provide an ID to be able to pick up the card. I say mostly solve is because the scalper can have multiple people go out to pick the card up but there will be a limited number of people they will be able to use. Yes Best Buy is trying, but they're not using the proper tactics to combat this issue. I've been checking randomly to see if the card ever gets restocked, and it never has been every time I've checked.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Maybe... sure would be nice if we could buy one . Just one !
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only choice for retailers to reach their customers is to require physical person at pickup, and restrict to 2-3 per customer within a month period

It would achieve the following objectives: 1. Ensure that ANYONE can get the product. Not just scalpers or people who sit all day clicking Refresh. 2. Let the buyers know their place in the queue. 3. Let the retailer and the manufacturer know how many people want and already agreed to pay for it with a CC (if the retailer talks to the manufacturer), so that the manufacturer can plan factory expansion accordingly. Electric Vehicle makers such as Tesla and Lucid cracked the secret of pre-orders. If they can sell cars before the assembly line released a single vehicle, I'm sure Best Buy can pre-sell items that are already in production and being shipped regularly. You can do it! I believe in you!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was able to buy it yesterday (1/6/2021). The button came alive as I was browsing it. I clicked on it and took a while to get to the Cart, once in the Cart you had to do verification against your e-mail get a code that was sent to it. It seems Best Buy is doing its best to stop the bots. It would be difficult for a Bot to be able to purchase this. The card is getting to me on the 17th of January. Best luck to you.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I built a new computer October last year and as of today, September 24, 2021 I still cannot get one of these cards. Even been trying from Asus with no luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.as an update on this, it looks like you now have to buy a $200 membership to even have the chance of buying one. no more reason to shop best buy if they're going to put things behind a paywall
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When they implement a pre-order program, with pre-purchase, most likely in store, with a hard limit to one (or two) per in store person. Until then, BestBuy obviously is in full support of the 3rd party, 3x retail, 10x sitting in some basement market. I guess they save on shipping? I mean, they're gonna sell the cards either way. You would assume the increased foot traffic in stores would boost the bottom line more that that. Not to mention, you don't actually have to pay shipping when they pick it up in store. It's cool though. I've stopped looking at BestBuy altogether for GPU's. Got an Asus 3060 ti, for $600, through B&H waiting list. That's my recommendation. Boo Bestbuy.
