• A:Answer Big Navi is shaping up to be decent competition for the 3070, for $50 more. It will likely not match 3080 performance. If you need a card soon, just get this on day one and if Big Navi ends up being decent, youll be able to EASILY resell the Founders Edition 3080 for more than you bought it for. If you can be patient, wait. Nvidia is rumored to be implementing forced-scarcity, so if you don't get in on the first batches of cards, it may be months before you are able to get a 3080 or 3070. It would be smart to wait and see for sure what AMD has to offer, but if you need an upgrade now, just get the 3080 now and see how things go.

Q: QuestionDid a watt calculation, all my parts with a gpu with same tdp as 3070, the total was 578 watts, i have 600 watts psu, will this be OK for a bit until I upgrade?

• A:Answer The rule of thumb that most gamers use is to take your wattage consumption and multiply by 1.5. 578 x 1.5 is 867 watts you could probably save some money by buying a 900-watt power supply. The power supply you have currently I wouldn't recommend using as any up serge of the base if above 22 watts could potentially fry the northbridge then you would have to get a new motherboard. I would buy the power supply first then the graphics card. This could potentially save you a lot of money if the mishap did occur. It is your choice though.

• A:Answer Make sure you have a beefy enough power supply it's recommended 750w though you can probably squeeze by with 650 or so depending on your hardware. I have no idea if Alienware Psus are any good but do your research and make sure it won't explode on you, it comes with a 12 pin adapter so as long you have 2 x 8pin connectors which connect to your gpu you should be fine as long as the mobo is semi recent with like pcie Gen 3 x16 since a 2080ti already saturates a x8 slot and this is way beefier. Also make sure not to bottleneck this thing with your cpu or monitor, if you're on 1080p at all please just get a 3070 and if you have an older cpu (Entirely game dependent, but I wouldn't go under a 8700k at 1440p, 4k is whatever, any semi recent cpu will do as higher res puts more stress on the gpu and less on the cpu), unless you plan to upgrade soon, same thing just get a 3070. Also make sure it fits before you buy, these are some big cards.
