My temper is burning up waiting for available 4090's to buy is all. Let them burn as long as you pay double for the card then that's all that matters to these companies!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They aren't "burning up!" The 12vhpw adapter cable is, which can damage the connector on the card itself. So the card isn't inherently faulty, the adapter that comes with it could potentially be though. Multiple youtubers have tried to recreate failures on the cable and couldn't yield any results or "burning up". It's probably people thinking a gpu with an estimated tdp of 600 watts will work on their 850 watt psu or just bending the aggressively cable like an ape.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Maybe fully read the stuff you're finding before spreading misinformation. The cards are not "burning up". The included adapters have had some thermal issues and some have melted. The adapter and card are two very different things though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most likely not. Testers have tried to recreate the burning up of the connector by overclocking the card as well as testing the 12V cables to see if they would get the same issues with no results of burning. It's possible there could have been a small batch of 12V cables that could have had some defects or it could have been a combination of people trying to overclock the card with a power supply of 850 watts or below. Anyone using this card should look into getting a 1000-1200 watt power supply
