- Answer BestBuy managers are incentivized to sell new/first day items as soon as possible, thats why. They *love* the scalper/bot ecosystem, to them it's like an early birthday present. Don't expect BBuy or really any other retailer to do whats right for consumers. They only care about their next paycheck and that won't change. The only way this gets solved is via a mass petition to BestBuy corporate and good luck getting the internet lemmings to unite.

QuestionWhy the F did Nvidia rely on BestBuy as their sole outlet for the Founders Edition? Best Buy obviously has zero ability or capability to control scalpers and bots, and thier website is still the same as it was in 2001 (ugly and archaic). Come on Nvidia!

- Answer I have experienced the same. I guess they have never had it. Or employees went to rampant, lets call it a "theft" as ebay suddenly has tones of them at higher reselling prices. Some sellers on ebeay even posting screenshots of bestbuy checkout with scheduled pick up for 19th. So question for the BestBuy management, what is going on here???? Why is this not on civilized pre-order? Why is this always happening?

- Answer Best buy had a design flaw with the website that allowed people to enter the queue prior to 6 am PST. Only the scalpers and botters knew this trick. You append &addchv=true to the end of the product url and it allowed you to enter the queue multiple minutes before 6 am.

- Answer If you weren't running a script or a bot that was able to order the card within a millisecond of it being available, you didn't have a chance. And the only people spending the time and money to do that are scalpers. They have already marked up the FE cards by $1000 and posted them on eBay.

- Answer It leaked out that the Best Buy site had a flaw that if you add &addchv=true to the URL of the product page it would bypass the 6am pacific time launch. Effectively scalpers bought all of the Founders Edition before 6am. Quantity limits were also removed with the exploit. They were all gone before the 6am launch.
