“I bought this computer , disk drive was not reconginized. Had to return same and was dissapointed. Was wondering if it was just this machine or are they all like that due to windows 10”

• The disk drive isn’t completely necessary, as I use mine without it. I reckon it’s just your machine, because it’s only reasonable that drive would be tested and perfected.
