“Just got Onkyo DXC390 from Best Buy. Have hooked it up to receiver. Put in cds and turned on. It doesn't see the cds at all, skips from cd slot 1 to 6 without stopping. Then says NO DISK. Why? Do I need to return?”

I would return it. We had no issues setting up our player.

The first one just stopped after a few months of working so we bought another one for Christmas (we liked that it played 6 discs and Onkyo had always been a good name). Right from day one the player wouldn't play disc one, made terrible noise and when it did play there is a continual low tic, tic, tic noise. I have the receipt for the new one and will be returning it and will be bringing in the older one in hopes I can return that one too.
