Hello Lynne, You would have to contact your local Best Buy to ask for assistance on the installation process with the player. The DXC390 does not have the ability for the speakers to be connected directly. The DXC390 would need to be connected to a receiver with speaker to playback the audio from the cd's being played within. Thank you Onkyo
