• The monthly charge is state taxes and a 911 fee. Mine has been $7.38 for the past 2 years. Used to be $6 something before the 911 fee increase.

• Ooma doesn't charge any cost itself, but Ooma collects tax and goverment fee momthly, their website has a place where you can enter your zip code to see how much is the tax and fee.
