no the HD143X USB port is for power only. normally this company puts those type of 'reader' USB ports on business solutions, this is an all digital Home theater designed model. three possible solutions, though not sure if stocked by Best Buy: LH150 (HT, 1080P), W330UST (ultra short throw type model) and EH465 all have usb 3.0 media readers,
