A:Answer Hello, thank you for your question. The Oster® 8-Speed Glass Jar Blender with 20 oz. Blend-n-Go™ Cup is designed for blending smoothies, shakes, salsas, dips, and similar recipes. While the Boroclass® glass jar is durable and resistant to temperature changes, we do not recommend blending very hot or boiling liquids in the blender. Hot liquids can create pressure and steam inside the jar, which may cause the lid to lift or hot contents to splatter.
For best results and safety, allow hot ingredients to cool before blending, and never fill the jar beyond the recommended capacity when blending warm ingredients. The included Blend-n-Go™ cup should not be used with hot liquids.
