Yes it does. It’s part of the case. We ended up taking that off the case and installing a Zagg Shield instead. Didn’t like how it felt like you had to really press on the screen to get the phone to register.

The Otter Box case provides a raised edge on all sides and corners around the glass face. The raised edge gives protection during the time the iPhone is in use, but there is no screen or cover over the glass while the iPhone is in use. When the Otter Box encased iPhone is mounted in the holster, the glass side faces the sturdy back plate of the holster which prevents any injury to the glass.

The case has an approx. 1mm thickness of clear durable plastic found in the interior of the front part of the case. However, if you drop something semi-heavy on it or step directly on it your screen will break.
