“Because of my pacemaker I have to be careful not to get some thing that has magnets. Most cases have a few magnets but I don’t want one that has incredibly powerful magnet and I am wondering what kind of magnet and if it has magnets. The question is obvio”

While this case doesn't have magnets (just bought it and it is very sturdy) the iPad itself seems to have a magnet which holds the new pencil onto the iPad Pro so you might want to check how strong that is.
