• A:Answer Yes, the Ring works, but the information without the subscription is nearly useless! Without the subscription, Oura withholds ALL basic source information provided by the Ring. Instead, Oura only displays "Activity Goal", "Readiness", and "Sleep" scores. These scores are nearly useless because they are based upon information provided by the Ring that you will no longer be able to see. For example, the "Activity Goal" score is based upon your individual goal for steps - but without the subscription, you will no longer be able to see, set, or update this goal! The "Sleep" score will be based up go-to-bed and wake-up times that may not be correct, but without the subscription, you will have no long have the ability to see that the information is wrong or be able to correct it. Therefore, if you want to continue to get the promised value from your Ring, you will HAVE to continue the subscription! This will bring a total three-year cost of the ring up to about $500!! Buyer beware! I bought my ring directly from Oura with a 6-month subscription included. Now that my subscription has run out, I am very disappointed to find out that there is almost no value to the ring without the subscription. I would not recommend the Ring unless you plan to pay for the subscription and include the subscription cost in your planned cost of the Ring.

The limit for Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) for a device such as the Oura Ring is 2.0 W/kg for the head and body. The Oura Ring SAR level is 0.0003 W/kg. Additionally, Bluetooth is only active on the Oura Ring for short periods, well below 1% of the day. Data is transmitted more continuously when the ring syncs with the app and during firmware updates.

If you prefer another finger, the middle or ring fingers are the next best, but try to avoid fingers with large knuckles (where the base of your finger is narrower than the knuckle).

Titanium with Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coating in Black and Stealth colors. The inner surface materials include a non-allergenic, non-metallic seamless inner molding. This is a medical grade, BPA-free inner surface. The LiPo battery, like many lithium-based batteries, may contain small traces of nickel. However, the battery is sealed within a water resistant mold and will not come into contact with your skin.

• A:Answer I've had my ring for a couple months and I've never worried about exposing it to water but I am careful not to expose it to harsh chemicals or even lotion. I would say if you're going to apply hair care products, definitely wash it afterwards! It may just be easier to take it off.

• A:Answer Unfortunately, you'll need to bring two chargers. Each ring size comes with a charger specifically designed for that one size only. My husband and I are in the same boat - each have a ring but two different sizes - so we both have to end up packing our separate chargers.

• A:Answer I don’t know about that particular store but I believe all of the stores have a generic ring sizer that allows you to try all sizes on your finger and you pick what fits best. The rings are sealed in a box and I was not allowed to try it on before I purchased it. The ring size guide was accurate and I am ver happy with my ring.
