“Does the control panel light up so you can read the selections in dim lighting? I quite often am up heating milk late at night to help me sleep and do not want to turn on bright kitchen lights.”

The only part of the panel that lights up is where the clock or timer is. The touch panel does not light up.

No - it does not light up. Makes it a bit challenging - can't set it without turning a light on.
