• Yes. Read the instructions before you plug it in. It tells you how to set or turn off the sound/beeping.

• You have to unplug the microwave to get to the menu. Look on page 10 bottom left of the manual #3 tells how to do it. PS. Love this microwave. Why did I wait so long to replace my 10 year old one!!
