The light comes on when the door is opened and goes off when the door is closed; it goes on when the microwave starts, and goes off when it finishes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The light comes on when the door is open and when you push the start button - for the duration of the cooking. The light is from a tiny- about 11mm / ½" square opening in the front of the right side wall, just inside the door. But with a dark grey enameled interior, there is not much reflected light from the top or sides of the oven and it is not good light in my opinion. The previous model had a white interior that helped reflect the light and was much better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It has a tiny LED light, but it is the weakest interior light I've ever seen on a microwave. With the door closed and the microwave running, you have to look directly at the led to tell it is lit. It does light up the interior a little while the door is open. Not much other than that.
