Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not tested mine, and I doubt my measurements would be of great value since some variation from unit to unit is expected. A new microwave with clean door seals and a securely closed door should meet the 5mW/cm^2 @ 5cm power limit, which is the FDA requirement. Aging of the seals and warping of the doors or hinges can cause the machine to exceed the limit. However, using the general guideline of keeping all parts of your body at least 30cm (about a foot) away from the machine while in operation will ensure you are never exceeding the safety levels. If you suspect the door is not closing fully or air gaps are visible, you should discontinue use of the machine and get a new microwave.
