Hello. The life expectancy of the product is influenced by many variables, including, but not limited to, how extensively is it used, how it is cleaned, where it is stored, etc. In order to prolong the lifetime of the product, we encourage you to clean it after every use as per instructions in the manual on page 14. We recommend the outer foil to be replaced after approximately 1 year, and the inner blades after approximately 2 years. -G
