A:AnswerThe Eneloop AA batteries do come charged and ready to use. However, I always charge them before I use them to be sure they are "fully" charged (topped off). I would suggest trying your batteries in another device to see if the problem maight be with the solar lights and not with the batteries. Also, double check the specs for what battery is recommended for the solar lights. The lights might require higher voltage batteries. (?) You might also check to see if the batteries are charged by using a small battery tester. Those testers are very useful items to have around. I've been using the Eneloop Rechargeable Batteries for several years and have always been very impressed with their dependability and longevity. Good luck. Ihope you're able to resolve the problem anad get the lights working.

A:AnswerThe amperage varies on eneloop. They averaged 1800 mah hours but can improve depending on the charger you use and the full potential takes a 3-4 full charge cycles. I used a smart charger that can measure capacity which is their max miliamp capacity. To get Amps just divid by 1,000. So average Amps is 1.8 Amps.
