Hello, and thank you for your interest in our microwave! The oven must be placed on a flat, stable surface that is more than 36 inches (91.6 cm) height from the ground. Place the front surface of the door 3 inches (7.6 cm) or more from the countertop edge to avoid accidental tipping of the microwave oven during normal use. For proper operation, you will need to allow 6 inches (15 cm) of space on the top of the oven, 4 inches (10 cm) at the back, and 2 inches (5 cm) on both sides. If one side of the oven is placed flush to a wall, the other side or top must not be blocked. Hope this helps! -C
