• Yes, base requires phone jack land line connection Need phone or cable company. The other 2 are stand alone. Good budget set.

• Hi! Yes, the base unit will have to be connected to the outlet and also to the telephone jack. The handsets will communicate with the base, but their chargers also have to be plugged in electrical outlets. -A
