• Hello! If you are using the Voicemail from the service provider, “Voicemail msg. via phone co.” is displayed. Also, the message indicator on the handset flashes slowly if the message indicator feature is turned on. If you are using the built-in answering machine, the message indicator on the base unit flashes when new messages have been recorded. Hope this helps! -C
