• The viewfinder is electronic so it displays the same info as the lcd display. You can change settings to use either or both.

• Hi Annie. You cannot see through the viewfinder and screen at the same time, you can choose the desired one by pressing the LVF button. The camera has an eye sensor that will switch automatically from the screen to the viewfinder. -G

• By default the LCD screen is on and automatically switches to the viewfinder when you are close to it. You can then toggle it with a button to only be one of the two active at all times or both always on.
