QuestionWe are wanting to burn our 4k home movies to Verbatim BD-R XL #98897 discs, will this player read from those discs? If not, are there any other players on the market that will? Someone said the Panasonic DMP-UB900 would, but are not available anymore...

- Answer Please check the list of playable media on the following link: https://help.panasonic.ca/viewing/ALL/DP-UB9000P/OI/TQBS0286/TQBS0286.pdf#page=6 It may not be possible to play the above media in some cases due to the type of media, the condition of the recording, the recording method, and how the files were created. The producers of the disc can control how discs are played, so you may not always be able to control play as described in this Owner’s Manual.

QuestionTray will not close unless I turn unit off. I have already taken this unit for repair while under warranty (I had to pay for the repair; awesome Panasonic customer service...). Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

- Answer Hello! We would recommend resetting the unit. To return all settings to the factory preset: While the unit is off press and hold [OK], the yellow button and the blue button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds. – “00 RET” is displayed on the unit’s display. Press the arrow to the right repeatedly on the remote control until “08 FIN” is displayed on the unit’s display. Press and hold [OK] for more than 5 seconds. Please note that we do not charge for repairs if the unit is under warranty and the fault is considered a manufacturing error. -M

QuestionHow do I get Netflix 5.1 in PCM Mode ( getting only 2.0). I intentionally connected Bluray Multi Ch 7.1 Analog out to receiver without HDMI cables . Is It true if i select BITSTREAM audio then DAC is done at receiver side and miss highend DAC of Bluray ?

- Answer Audio is through HDMI to your TV or audio-only HDMI 2 or optical audio out. If your TV or audio device does Bluetooth, you can connect that way, but this player doesn't support Bluetooth directly.
