Without spending too much time answering your question, I would see if you can email the manufacturer. I've had this controller for a while and I've used spare USB cables, but remember micro USB and even the new type c are not necessarily standardized. Sometimes you may accidentally purchase a micro USB cable that's data only or charge only and it could be missing a specific wire that does not allow the controller to communicate with the Xbox console. If you are still using multiple USB cables with no luck, the input port on the controller might actually be damaged.
