Brand-new batteries may last only 3–5 days. When running on battery alone, any feeding schedules set before will still operate, and the device can still dispense food.If both the adapter and batteries are used simultaneously, the device will draw power only from the adapter and will not drain the batteries. When the outlet loses power, it will automatically switch to battery mode.
