• If you already own the bridge, no need for another. If you have a hub like Smarthings, I would also use the bridge. The bridge makes all your Hue products connect to it, then the bridge talks to your modem/router.

• all lights work with all hubs so you wouldnt need another unless you have an old hub since the old hubs are going end of life soon. the old hubs are circles and the new ones are squares
