• Yes. The starter kit has the controller and 4 bulbs.

• Yes you sure can. The Phillips hue require a hub. However the LifX bulbs done requires a hub.

• Yes.I would recommend these A19 over the BR30. The colors are so much better. They won't fit the cans as nicely, but the trade-off is worth it.
