You could but it would not be bright enough using the stripes. You should do the bulbs they are perfect for the job. They are also dimable and voice activated

And No. If you put them the whole way around the garage they will add enough light for most things but you will probably still need brighter more direct light for some things. I use them as my only source of light in my sunroom and they are perfect but in my garage I would want more light.

These lights are more for indoor use in your room or something. Unless you have a man cave in your garage these lights would not be the best option. Go with a more cheap strip light than these.

Please try again later.Yes absolutely, my husband who is a LIGHT FREAK..HE MUST HAVE A HUNDRED LIGHTS ON JUST TO SEE...he thinks this light strip is the best of all the hue lights I've bought..he does not even have to turn kitchen light on anymore, in fact last night said he wanted me to purchase a second one, it will bright up ANY SIZE ROOM
