No, I believe one bridge will handle up to 50 devices. As long as the wifi can work out to the porch, you should be fine. If not get an extender!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All Philips lights, including the light strip, connect to the Philips bridge. You can get the bridge by itself or as part of a starter kit. I have my hub in the basement furnace room hooked up with a Ethernet cable. It requires an Ethernet connection to work properly. Works just fine and I can control lights on all three floors as well as outside.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't need a bridge just to switch on the light. To change colors it needs a bridge. It works with Hue bridge and Smartthings bridge as well. It needs only one bridge to connect different lights, Lights and bridge should connect to one network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes they require a bridge. No one bridge should be sufficient if they are on the same wifi network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you want just one simple color (white) on the lights, then you dont not require a bridge. If you want to be able to change the color of the lights then you will require a bridge to accomplish that. As long as the wifi can reach the porch you will only require one bridge. You can connect all lights throughout the house with that one bridge. I have lights in my basement, living room, amd some bedrooms. I only just use one bridge at the moment to connect all lights. Each one obviously can be changed to its own color. Hopefully this amswers your question.
