It is bright enough on the white light settings if you get the light strip and light strip plus. Also, it depends on how much light you want. I have this on the wall between my dining and living room and it outs off a good amount of light.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We use the strip lights for under counter lighting, which works very well. I don't think they would be suitable as only room lighting. Perfect for room mood lighting tho.

I have a light strip under my kitchen island and use it as a night light on the blue color, and it lights the room so much, I have to dim it. That being said, I also have an extension on it as well. Hope this helps.
