These are labeled for indoor use only. I don't know if I'd trust them outside. Especially because of their cost.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They are third generation bulbs. I wouldn’t recommend using them outdoors. I think I’ve read something on someone using it outdoors and it didn’t last.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. How can these be 3rd generation lights? Under specifications, light output is 630 lumens. My 3rd generations have 650 lumens. Nice lights and easy to use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use this bulb in an outdoor fixture. Mine is in a downward facing porch lamp with a galvanized cover/shade that keeps off the elements. I've had the bulb ON through several thunderstorms in Denver and so far, so good. I would risk it if the bulb were actually exposed to the elements, though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These are the 3rd gen bulbs and I believe Philips rates these for indoor use only. They do say though that they are suitable for damp environments, but I personally wouldn't use them in fixtures that are exposed to the elements. Also, that Arizona heat would likely burn them out pretty fast. I would take them in during the summer even if they weren't exposed to the sun.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, these are indoor only unfortunately. I hope they will make one because I would like to replace the one above the shower. I can't remember the company, but at the moment a competitor does offer an outdoor model and is available at Best Buy.
