1.Before you attack to devise check that you have moved the slider completely open, you’ll hear a snap sound. 2.Attach to your device. It will take almost a minute or 2 for some devices to recognize the flash drive, normally I attach to my device and right away without pause I open File Explorer formally Windows Explorer, I navigate to folder / files I want to back up and before I know it my device has recognized the flash drive and I see it added in File Explorer as D: drive, you might see a different letter.

Or; Open "Disk Management " tool in Windows and see if it shows up there. More detailed instructions available via search

I have had 3 of these for approx. 4 yrs, I had other memory so i ignored them. I decided to try again. I am older so get very frustrated reading all the "helpful" comments and therefore need to be in a very relaxed mood. Although i had no trouble with the windows laptop only the chrome, anyhow, thank you
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The answer from Tech worked for me. I had the same problem until I pulled the cover ALL THE WAY back. Then my PC recognized the drive.
