It comes preformatted with FAT32

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe these come ExFAT - however this is not a big deal. If you right click the drive in File Explorer and select format you can change it to NTFS, or vice versa if you need the former. If you are using a Mac you'll want it to be ExFat for compatibility with Windows as well. However, if you are needing the drive for strictly Mac, just format the drive by going to disk utility and erasing the drive and select Mac OS (Journaled) - unless you would like to encrypt.

If you should ever get one that is completely blank and can't be formatted by your computer, BestBuy will give you a replacement or a refund; no questions asked.
