USB 3.0 is backward compatible with both USB 2.0 and 1.0 however the peak transfer rate will not exceed the USB 2.0 or USB 1.0 speeds.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the flash drives are backwards compatible. You just will not get the advantage of the faster transfer speeds. Might as well buy the 2.0 version and save your self a buck, unless you are transferring to a newer computer afterwards - with 3.0 compatibility.
