“instructions for transferring files to a PNY16gb flashdrive 3.0 I want to make separate folders of various genres of music to put on this flash drive. I connected the USB flash drive to my Mac and opened my iTunes folder, but couldn't make any sense of how to label each folder separately and transfer them to the flash drive. Can you tell me where I can find these instructions ? Not too technical, please !”

Hello Ann, I don't use a Mac however this principle should still work. So first create a new folder and name it then copy and paste it into the flash drive now once that's done copy and paste all your music directly to that folder that's now on the flash drive, just keep repeating this step for all other music you wish to put on that drive and there you have it. Hoped that helped.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.On the flash drive in Finder, use the icon to create a new folder (the first option under the sprocket icon) . When done with folders, stay on the screen that shows all the folder (i.e. Don't go into any of them) and then open another finder window under iTunes where your "source" files are. Highlight the files of the first genre you wish to copy (using command and click you can select multiple files) then right click on one of these highlighted files and click "copy n items". Next, right click on the folder in your flash drive Finder window and select "paste items". Proceed until you have copied all that you want. Note that you can check each folder after each copy on the flash drive if you want but you **should** go back up again before pasting another group of files.

On a MAC i'm not sure what the program is to open. On a windows based it is file explorer use my computer to get to the flash drive and then you can right click-new folder-name it and press enter.
