No its pretty light. Its not like my 4090. I installed it in my buddies computer without a braket and I have no worries. It is about the same size as a GTX 1080, or a GTX 970 or a GTX 760 which I have on hand and it was a similar designed heatsink size with the same number of fans.

My case came with the Anti Sag bracket. Easy installation.

It doesn't sag much, if at all, so I would say no. The backplate is very rigid and it's lightweight compared to other models which both help keep it upright.
