Yes, it will work. I installed this card in my 11Th gen core i9 computer and it worked flawlessly. Even though it is gen5 it is backward compatible with gen4.

Yes PCIE generation is just the speed at which that connection can run. your GPU wont' slow down for going from 5 to 4 but it also won't go faster going 4 to 5. It's compatible either way. My go to is if it fits it sits.
