Works well on a rowing machine and kayaking so I guess it would be fine on a bike.

Yes. No problem. You could even mount it on the handlebar with a sleeve of styrofoam beneath the band for stability.

If its indoor then no, it basically will only be there for timing. For outside, it will give limited data such as GPS route, distance, speed. You'll need the cadence sensor to do more

It will definitely give you heart rate and GPS track, but I believe you need the V800 or a smartphone if you want to use the cadence sensor.

Yes, it works well for bicycling. You can even create custom sports profiles and differentiate between road cycling and mountain biking. A handlebar mount is also available. Does not link with any wheel sensors however, only GPS.

M400 users can absolutely use this product while cycling. The integrated GPS sensor within the watch will record the speed and distance while riding. When you download the product you'll see the route upon which you rode giving you a complete look of your exercise session. Mike @ Polar USA
