I bought them,. Changed the woofers to 8 ohms got new woofers fom parts express for $20. For both,. And these sounf fantastic with my vintage pioneer vsx99 receiver

Look at the specs of each speaker listed, and look for only 8 Ohm or higher. Also these are only 2 way speakers, while they sound very good, these are on the low end of the Polk line. Two of these speakers would be recommended for both the right, and left channels of your sound system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thats an old amp. Most of old amps are under 100 watt per channel. With that said you might not get all sound that this speaker is built for. You want an amp that is between 100 to 180 watt per channel. About the speakers it is good to have all same speakers if not, then every speaker is built different and has different watts of peak power. One might distort from the other when turnin it up. Mi advice spend the $ and get all same speakers. The rear do not have to be a 3 way speaker ot can be a shelve speaker.
