Yes, but it's cost prohibitive. By the time you replace the Bass radiators with real drivers & a proper crossover for them? You're better off buying the Pioneer SP-F52's which these POLK's were made to compete against but fell way short. Just don't buy this speaker to start with. Spend your cash on a better, Hi-Fi speaker. ~ peace
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would be easier to purchase a new set of towers than to replace the passive radiators. Replacing them with powered ones will change the sound, as the enclosure was designed for the set up in current form. Additionally you will have to make sure the correct ohm load of all speakers match the receivers capability, as this is only a single terminal set up. if you bi amp, you will have to modify enclosure and add a dual terminal.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't do it. Polk doesn't throw these things together, and they build them out the way they do for a reason. I own these speakers. They are, for the money, the best bargain you will find in home audio. Buy something else built out with extra active speakers if that is what you want, but I would not tear into these. I also would not change a single thing about them. Love 'em.
