The battery fits the controller. The battery cover does not fit the controller. The tabs that hold the cover into the controller were moved. I cut the tabs off when I figured it out and made it work that way. There is a third tab that slides over the battery itself that I have used to hold the cover in place and it has worked relatively well for a cheap fix.
