“Every time I plug it in, the LED light flashes green, then red, then off. When I go to charge a battery, light turns red for about 5 seconds then it completely shuts off and stops charging. Tried with both batteries. Nothing. Anybody have similar issues?”

I don’t know if it will help but, I’ve found that you really have to make sure the battery is aligned to charge. Sometimes it looks like it’s set on there right but, I have to “jiggle the handle” to get the charge. Good luck.
