Yes, it's no assembly, no tech set-up. But you need to adjust the volume, fast forward etc. with the dials provided on either side of where you insert the DVD.

Hi Assembly, if using on battery you will have to charge the battery first - otherwise, you are correct.

comes with a precharge but i recomend that you give it a full charge, " green battery light" and then it's off to the movies. have fun, relax and enjoy
