You can buy the subscription for 1 year. After the subscription ends, you keep the software & data (since both are on your local PC). You won't get product updates nor will you have the ability to automatically download your bank transactions via internet. But you can still enter them manually. I'm using Quicken 2010, which worked just fine till I upgraded my operating system from Windows 7 to Windows 10. So, I will buy a one year subscription to Quicken 2019 & hopefully that will last me at least 10 years. They call it a subscription but after it runs out, just continue using. Easy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this WILL still work after the subscription expires, but it's annoying enough you might not want to. Those saying it won't work are just wrong. What happens is that you get an annoying nag screen when you start up, there will be a "click here to renew" banner at the top of the screen, and you will no longer be able to download any transactions from your banks. But you can do manual entry for as long as you want. Another thing to keep in mind is that they update Quicken software monthly, and every time you start Quicken it will ask you if you want to download the latest software updates. Do NOT say yes! If you ever say yes then it will download the update and then Quicken will no longer work until you track down the last version your subscription supported and reinstall. Old versions aren't hard to find, but figuring out which one you need can be a pain.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I bought this version on sale for $29.99 & purchased the hard disk. You can only put it on one computer. You do not have to pay an annual fee, but after the first year, you won’t be able to link your bank accounts without renewing for another year. All I plan to do is enter expenses for tax purposes. I’m not going to link my bank accounts.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not have to pay the annual fee, you just won't have get updates. I used my old one for many years without updates for my personal finances.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, Quicken will send you a warning, then freeze the account until you purchase online or another CD. This happened to me 2 years ago. Very stressful when that happened. All information remained, but the app was frozen
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think so. I only use it for checkbook
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A qualified Yes. The basic software will work, but downloads from your bank/investments will no function. But you will be constantly hounded by an annoying popup that reminds you that the software is out of date. And there is no way to make this popup go away until you buy another subscription. And given Quicken's stranglehold on the protocol for transaction downloads, they are effectively a monopoly for this type of software.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You cannot buy it without the annual fee. You might be able to get Quicken Starter which is cheaper if you are using it only for a checking account and not downloading any prices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NO. It's not stated on the packaging, but without a subscription your purchase will NOT work!
