From what I have seen so far, yes you can use it for that purpose

Yes. There are 2 ways to do the checks. You can use it as a payable then make the computer print your check, which will put your entries directly into the check register. Or the way I do it I make eft payments or write checks and then manually pot the entries myself into the check register. Either way, to can still reconcile your bank statement.

Yes.  First, set up your bank account(s) in the Accounts List,  You can simply enter everything manually, and to reconcile your bank accounts is so easy!
