Why is this mesh called hybrid? null

Hybrid as in combining the two materials.. leather and metal mesh.

Probably because it is not made by Apple. I bought it to replace the one that came with my Apple Watch. It fit the watch fine. It is magnetic which is what I wanted. Looks nice.

One of the two straps is mesh; other is leather.

There are two components to this band. The first is the stainless steel mesh, the second is the genuine leather.
